Thank you for visiting my campaign website. I’m Yudelka Tapia and I am a Democrat running for City Council District 14th in the Bronx. The 14th district includes the neighborhoods of University, Fordham, Morris Heights, Kingsbridge and the Northwest Bronx. I have lived in this district for over 20 years (Read my Biography) and it is shameful that the current City Council Member for this district has been noticeably absent from all public discussion in this community for the past 8 years. The Time Is Now for true leadership to rise and defend the needs and interest of ordinary Bronx residents.
We cannot permit outsiders to continue to come to our neighborhoods impose their will on us, profiteer from us, and high jack our community and political decision making process. And expect to do so, while we sit idle by and do nothing.
