Transparency
Public participation and collaboration is key to the success of government and so part of my bid for the City Council is to put forward Transparency to City Hall. Being more open with the community of the 14th District will promote greater accountability, efficiency, and economic opportunity.
I believe that the people must make sure that government makes the best decisions and therefore I will create a two-way dialogue between the residents of the 14th District and their city councilwoman. I will work closely with community organizations, community leaders, and our community boards to create this dialogue. I will organize town hall meetings, and create an online database where people can share ideas, pose questions, find important resources and discuss concerns within their neighborhood. Together we will analyze the needs of our community and develop policy that benefits from diverse perspectives of engaged citizens.
